Cayenne

Cayenne is an elite NTEP tested (2001-2005) variety that is broadly adapted throughout the mid west areas. It had excellent turf quality scores in the Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky NTEP trials. It provides a slower growth rate, excellent color and elite turf quality. Cayenne is a great shade grass and thrives under tree root competition. The overall disease resistance of Cayenne is excellent and it has outstanding resistance to Brown Patch and Pythium.

Mustang 4

Mustang 4 has been an outstanding variety in latest (2006-2008) NTEP trials. This tough endophyte enhanced turfgrass provides toughness and disease resistance wherever it is used. Mustang 4 has excellent heat and drought tolerance and performs exceptionally well under lower fertility levels and acid soils. In addition, Mustang 4 has very good brown patch resistance in the mid west. Mustang 4 was among the top scoring varieties in the Transition zone regional area in the NTEP.

Corona Tall Fescue

Corona tall fescue has a dark green color and elite turf quality and was another top performer in the NTEP Transition zone area. It lends a finer leaf texture and excellent density to the Green Alliance blend. Corona has proven to be an excellent turfgrass throughout the mid west area. Corona is particularly well adapted to shady turf conditions.

Green Alliance from Tenbarge represents the best of the best. It can be depended on to provide the best possible tall fescue turf throughout the mid west and Transition zone areas in all conditions where tall fescue is adapted. Its quality and genetic diversity are second to none. Green Alliance will do the job where other lesser varieties and blends fail.

PLANTING AND MAINTENANCE:
A seeding rate of 8-10 lbs per 1000 sq ft is recommended. Fall seeding is best with spring sowing also a good planting time. Expect to see seed germination in 5-6 days with warm soil temperatures and timely irrigation. While a cutting height down to 1 inch can be tolerated, a cutting height of 3 – 4 inches is recommended for Green Alliance. Fertilize when necessary. Fall fertilization is generally best.
