Let the Lawn Renovations Begin
This summer has been very tough, and it is definitely time to start thinking about aeration, fertilizing and seeding. Here are some things to consider:
- September is the best month for seeding
- Let us run a soil test (you should have a current soil test to start, no more than 2 years old)
- Consider applying our lime or gypsum, Verde Cal, based on the soil test results
- Is it too dry to aerate? (don’t aerate your lawn until we have a significant rain or you have irrigated)
- Aerate heavily, seed Green Alliance Seed Blend, apply Green Alliance Starter Fertilizer 13-25-10
- Apply Green Alliance Starter Fertilizer 13-25-10 again when you mow the new seedlings for the first time
- If your yard is nothing but weeds, consider spraying out with Roundup and reseeding the yard
- Use a slice seeder, go 2 directions, on total kill renovations

I got some fertilizer left from spring. Some of it has Dimension and some Dimension and Confront in it. I reseeded the yard, if I use the fertilizer with Confront or Dimension in it, will it be hard on the new grass coming up? Thanks.
