Weather is Playing Havoc on Lawns

With the constant heat and humidity we are experiencing, many lawns are facing multiple problems. Brown Patch is a disease in lawns that is very active right now. Warm, humid nights bring on the disease, especially if you have fertilizer down right now. Be careful with fertilizer right now, and don’t irrigate your lawn in the evening hours.

Another issue is weeds! There are heavy weed pressures this year. We have identified many different ones, but the most popular are crabgrass, yellow nutsedge and spurge. Come see us for sprays that control these weeds.

Spray out the weeds now so you can be ready for aeration and seeding the fall. September is the ideal month and is right around the corner. Good luck the rest of the way!
